The vast city of Collosatropolis has achieved its maximum size. Collostropolan leaders have resolved to address the problem by conquering Mungola, a neighboring country. Mungolans, being simple, earthy people, do not anticipate any difficulty. Mungola’s defensive force consists of a squadron of F-27 Platypus fighter jets. Platypus is a side-scrolling shooter in which you use your small spaceship to destroy opposing ships. Shooting some formations grants the player twenty seconds of weapon upgrades. All of the models in the game were created in clay, photographed, then digitally colored. There are 20 levels spread across four planets, each with its own set of themes and opponents. Minor adjustments have been made to the PSP version. It includes worlds, ships, and adversaries not found in the original game, which are built using existing images and have new movement patterns. Weapon balancing and the bonus score system have been altered. The improvements include a save system, a new Survival mode, and Wi-Fi multiplayer action for two players.
