Scuba diving serves as the inspiration for the action-adventure game Everblue. Everblue 2 came out after this one, making it the second installment in the Everblue series. It was made available in Japan and some parts of Europe but not the United States. It was released before the video game Endless Ocean, which was developed by Arika in 2007. (Forever Blue in Japan). However though Endless Ocean offers a third-person perspective and substantially less focus on salvaging or shipwrecks, the two games share the same topic of underwater scuba diving and photography. Both games are available on Steam. In 2002 it had a sequel, Everblue 2.
