Dragon Quest: Shonen Yangus to Fushigi no Dungeon

Developed by Cavia and published by Square Enix as a part of the Mystery Dungeon series, Dragon Quest: Shonen Yangus to Fushigi no Dungeon is a predecessor to Dragon Quest VIII, a spin-off of the main series. The player takes control of a young version of Yangus, who later appears in Dragon Quest VIII and is a crucial character in that game. When an unknown jug is delivered to the house, the man, referred to as a “plump bandit,” becomes entangled with the criminal enterprise run by his father, Yampa. Yangus disobeys the instructions not to touch the jug, and as a result, he gets pulled inside the bottle and transported to a different world known as “Bottle Land.” Moreover, Gelda, a female bandit from Dragon Quest VIII, makes an appearance in this new world. She, along with Red, Morrie, Toruneko, and a new character named Poppy, all start exploring the dungeons of this unique area once they arrive.
