Dakar 2

The renowned Paris-Dakar Rally is recreated in the video game Dakar 2, a racing simulation. Although the player cannot travel the actual 6,000 kilometers in the game, the rally mode will take them from to Dakar across 12 different courses. The race courses take competitors through many terrains, including urban areas, woodlands, and even deserts. Most of them are straightforward courses, but there are several in the desert where players are free to drive around and must race against other players to reach the checkpoints first. The player can select from the cars, trucks, and motorcycles that were officially licensed for Dakar 2002, although in a race, only vehicles of the same type are allowed to compete. There is also a mode called arcade racing, in which all the courses and cars unlocked in the rally mode can be picked. Moreover, there is a mode called split screen, allowing two players to compete against one another.
