Interstellar political strife in the future has resulted in the formation of a global governing body known as the United Community of Earth, or UCE. Global energy scarcity has recently prompted the development of a new energy source, a potent substance known as E2. However, some people want it for personal gain, and the UCE defense forces are on the front lines of protecting the Earth from rebel groups.
