Producer Yoshinori Ono revealed an arcade version during the Japanese Street Fighter IV finals on April 4, 2010. Various playtests occurred in multiple arcades and at the Street Fighter IV finals at Tougeki-Super Battle Opera. Images depicting experimental Xbox 360 accomplishments from Microsoft’s PartnerNet service, including Arcade Edition avatars, were leaked shortly before release, hinting at a future console release. During Super Street Fighter IV’s arcade edition debut, a launch video featuring the promising characters Evil Ryu and Oni was released. Arcades around the United States that got Arcade Edition devices were also allowed to access previously undisclosed characters slated for a later release. Capcom demanded that videos containing Evil Ryu and Oni be removed and s suspended. One was published on April 8, 2011, while Evil Ryu was available on March 25, 2011.
